Sono state annunciate le nomination della 31esima edizione degli Independent Spirit Awards. La cerimonia di premiazione si svolgerà il 27 febbraio.
Carol, il film con protagoniste le attrici Rooney Mara e Cate Blanchett ha ottenuto ben sei nomination tra cui quelle alle due star nella categoria Miglior Attrice Protagonista, mentre Il caso Spotlight e Beasts of No Nation si sono fermati a quota cinque.
Seguono poi Anomalisa e Tangerine, in grado di ottenere anche le prestigiose candidature nelle categorie Miglior Regista e Miglior Film.
