La Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW) e la Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) hanno annunciato le nomination dedicate all'anno televisivo che si va concludendo. I vincitori verranno proclamati nel corso delle cerimonie parallele che si terranno sabato 14 febbraio 2015 in contemporanea a Los Angeles e New York City.
Tra le serie che hanno ormai conquistato il cuore del pubblico svetta True Detective. La serie antologica, di cui è in lavorazione la seconda stagione, ha già conquistato un bel po' di riconoscimenti e, nella categoria 'dramma', darà del filo da torcere alle classiche Il trono di spade, House of Cards e Mad Men.
Ma True Detective è anche il favorito tra le nuove serie, anche se a dargli del filo da torcere potrebbero intervenire l'acclamato The Affair o il bellissimo The Knick, che vede Clive Owen nei panni di un problematico chirurgo nella New York dei primi del '900. Sul versante comico si fa notare Silicon Valley, anch'essa alla prima stagione, che potrebbe insidiare il primato a Veep o Orange Is the New Black. Di seguito l'elenco delle nomination.
