L'Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ha annunciato la shortlist dei 15 film che si contenderanno l'ingresso nella rosa finale dei candidati a Miglior Documentario. Le quindici pellicole sono state scelte tra tutte quelle qualificate nella categoria, che quest'anno erano ben 147. Ecco la shortlist:
